Community Partners
Supported by Community
We are grateful to the businesses and organizations along the Sunshine Coast that support our quilting community. Whether through year-round advertising (check them out below!), quilt show sponsorship, or special project assistance, their support helps deliver our programs and assists members to play a part in helping our coastal community thrive.
See the Coast Reporter story at the bottom that highlights how some Guild members contributed to honouring retired Gibsons volunteer firefighters!

Retired in Style
This Coast Reporter article (Michael Gurney, March 27, 2026) reports how the Gibsons Volunteer Fire Department reached out to the Guild to honour their retired members in a commemorative wall-hanging made of their uniform nameplates. After much stitching by our members, it now hangs in the station with lasting memories for GFVD members.
In true quilter’s fashion, scraps from one project become part of another quilt! A smaller quilt of leftover blocks from the wall-hanging was gifted to the GVFD and is pictured below.
